Position Summary:

CORE Builders offers internship opportunities across three key areas of construction operations:

• Project Engineer Intern – Office-based support for project management and coordination
• Field Engineer Intern – On-site support for construction activities and field operations
• Preconstruction/Estimator Intern – Office-based support for estimating and preconstruction planning

Interns will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world construction processes. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute meaningfully to active projects.

Responsibilities by role:

Project Engineer Intern

• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and document control using Procore
• Support coordination meetings and redline plans
• Help prepare exhibits and update project binders
• Take progress photos and assist with communication between field and office teams

Field Engineer Intern

• Track subcontractor progress and participate in site walks
• Support safety documentation and SWPPP monitoring
• Assist with field documentation and redlining plans
• Upload documents and provide daily field updates

Preconstruction/Estimator Intern

• Assist with conceptual budgeting and bid scope development
• Support subcontractor bidding, evaluations, and proposal preparation
• Help prepare baseline schedules and cost estimates using OST
• Participate in design reviews and change management processes
• Collaborate with Marketing and project teams on presentations

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and understand construction documents
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and Bluebeam
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn and contribute

Anticipated Hourly Rate:

$30.00 per hour
