Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Junior Buyer / Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and an interest in purchasing and supply chain operations. The Junior Buyer will assist Senior Buyers with day-to-day purchasing activities, focusing on lower-level procurement tasks such as online and credit card ordering, vendor communication, and basic ERP system use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process online and credit card purchases in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with data entry and purchase order creation using the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Obtain quotes and place small, routine, or one-off orders as directed by Senior Buyers.
  • Communicate with vendors to confirm order status, lead times, and delivery updates.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
  • Track orders and resolve basic issues related to delivery, pricing, or invoicing.
  • Support the Senior Buyers with administrative procurement tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support (internship or office admin experience also considered).
  • Experience with online ordering and use of corporate credit cards preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience supporting procurement in manufacturing, logistics, or technical industries is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
