Job Description

The client is seeking a Project Manager or Project Coordinator to support customer deployments within the telecommunications industry, particularly focusing on tower, fiber, or wireless infrastructure projects. Here's a clear, simplified breakdown of their expectations:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Project Management of Customer Deployments:
  • Support or lead project management for customer deployments (could be regional or non-traditional).
  • Oversee multiple aspects of telecom infrastructure projects — from initial system entry to construction completion and final closeouts.
  • Full Lifecycle Project Management:
  • Coordinate services including structural analysis, site acquisition, engineering (A&E) services, zoning, permitting, lease management, and construction management.
  • Communication & Issue Management:
  • Keep internal teams (e.g., District Manager, lead PM) and customers informed of issues affecting project timelines or costs.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Ensure all required project documents are obtained and maintained (e.g., structural analysis reports, permits, leases, soil samples, regulatory approvals).
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Manage vendors as needed.
  • Participate in internal and external deployment meetings.
  • Communicate with carrier representatives as required.
  • Coordinate with utilities as needed.
  • Forecasting & Reporting:
  • Maintain and update project forecasts using project management tools.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Handle design or entitlement issues (e.g., space limitations, easement requirements).

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of project management experience, preferably in telecom or related infrastructure projects.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of:
  • Telecommunications/wireless project management and asset management.
  • Tower maintenance and property management.
  • Site acquisition processes, including regulatory and permitting.
  • Reading blueprints and understanding tower/rooftop structural details.
