Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support underwriters with new and renewal business including rating, form selection, binding, policy issuance and invoicing
  • Quality control of various documents including quotes, policies, endorsements, cancellations and invoices
  • Handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellence service standards
  • Deliver high quality service to wholesale broker customers
  • Learn the underwriting process and appetite and assist underwriters with new business, endorsement and renewal underwriting
  • Evaluate submission, renewal and inspection information as part of the underwriting process
  • In conjunction with underwriters, work closely with wholesale brokers to develop relationships and enhance their understanding of the Company’s Underwriting rationale, philosophy and criteria

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of Property & Casualty underwriting support experience
  • Underwriting support in Excess and Surplus lines environment strongly preferred
  • Proficient in policy and workflow insurance applications
  • High energy and desire to learn
