Job Title: Safety Specialist – Data Center

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Pay Range: $33.00 – $43.00 per hour

A prominent player in complex infrastructure and mission-critical projects is seeking a Safety Specialist to support a high-profile data center build. This position plays a key role in fostering a proactive, team-driven safety culture across all phases of construction.

About the Role

As a Safety Specialist, you’ll be instrumental in driving an Incident and Injury-Free Culture (IIFC) on site. You’ll support compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations while collaborating with field leadership to execute safety initiatives. This includes maintaining a site-specific Safety Roadmap, facilitating incident investigations, and supporting the coordination of safety meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing project-specific safety programs
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Participate in and co-lead safety training and orientation sessions
• Support injury and illness case management and incident response
• Collaborate with field leadership to resolve safety concerns
• Promote open communication and continuous improvement in safety performance

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• OSHA 30 (Construction) certification
• CPR/First Aid Certified (Trainer certification preferred)
• 1–3 years of construction safety experience (electrical or data center experience a plus)

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Bilingual communication skills (a plus)

Work Environment

Work is conducted both in office and active construction site environments, with occasional tasks performed at heights or in confined spaces. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
