Lafayette Hotels, a renowned family-owned and operated company with over 30 hotels and restaurants throughout Maine and New Hampshire, is seeking friendly and energetic Banquet and Breakfast Servers to join our team. With properties in stunning locations such as Maine's Acadia National Park, the Southern Maine Beaches, and New Hampshire's White Mountains, Lafayette Hotels offers a perfect blend of work and adventure.

Job Summary

We are seeking friendly, enthusiastic, customer-focused team members with a desire to make a difference in our guests’ experiences. We cater to a variety of groups and individuals and strive for excellence in everything we do.

These are on call or part time positions with advance scheduling so you can plan other work around the events. The role is perfect as an add on position to a current hospitality person, restaurant server, bartender, etc. A combination of breakfast shifts and event shifts are available.

 

Daily Duties

• Ability to read a banquet event order and follow instructions such as: room diagrams, specific place settings, and other needs as specified
• Ensure cleanliness and aesthetic presentation of the banquet and buffet space
• Must be able to multi-task and work independently, as well as working cooperatively and professionally with others
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner
• Must be team and detail oriented 
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service 

  Requirements & Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food safety guidelines
• TIPs/Bartending experience preferred, not required
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and mornings as there are no set schedules 
• Must be able to work at a quick pace until job is complete 
• Provide oneself with a reliable means of transportation to and from work and the ability to be contacted by telephone 
• Ability to stand and walk for up 8+ hours
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to perform tasks involving repetitive movement
• Ability to see clearly with or without corrective wear
• Have a basic comprehension of spoken and written English
