Job Summary:

Bechtel is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Communications professional to support key communications strategies and activities across our global Energy business. This individual will report directly to Energy’s global manager of communications and work closely with leaders and professionals from across Energy projects. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong written, visual, and verbal communications skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and develop engaging content in multiple formats to highlight Bechtel’s people, projects, purpose, and values. The ability to tell compelling stories and create impactful content across internal, external, and social platforms is critical.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

• Produce content for internal and external communications channels, including internal and external websites, email, social media, presentations, bulletins, events, and print products.
• Promote Bechtel’s vision, values, and culture.
• Support internal and external communications initiatives, including messaging and content development.
• Collaborate with leaders and teams across Bechtel to amplify project milestones, enhance company initiatives, and promote team accomplishments.
• Manage timelines, track deliverables, and ensure smooth execution of high-visibility projects.
• Coordinate editorial planning for websites, newsletters, and other communications materials.
• Capture and produce photo, video, and graphic imagery to support messaging and promotion of accomplishments.
• Stay current on emerging social media trends and platforms and proactively apply them to enhance Bechtel’s reputation and presence.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Level 1 

• Bachelor’s degree with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience

Level 2 

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 1-2 years of experience, or 5-6 years of relevant experience

Must have the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with storytelling skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Highly organized, proactive, and resourceful.
• Ability to translate technical information into concise and creative content.
• Experience with visual media tools is essential, including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite for graphics, photography, and video production.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
• Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced ability to prioritize time and resources among competing demands and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to complete assignments under daily or weekly deadline pressure.
