Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher to join our flatbed trucking logistics team. The Dispatcher plays a key role in managing daily operations, coordinating drivers, and ensuring on-time deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, can work in a fast-paced environment, and has experience in flatbed or specialized trucking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule, assign, and dispatch flatbed drivers for local and regional hauls.
• Coordinate pick-up and delivery appointments with customers and shippers.
• Monitor driver progress throughout the day to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with regulations.
• Communicate proactively with drivers regarding schedules, routes, delays, and changes.
• Resolve any issues that arise during transit, including breakdowns, delays, or weather disruptions.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in dispatch and transportation management systems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, safety, and company regulations.
• Work closely with customers to provide updates and excellent service.
• Track driver hours of service (HOS) and monitor ELD compliance.
• Optimize routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of dispatching experience in flatbed trucking or similar freight logistics.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations, HOS, and ELD systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in dispatch software, Microsoft Office, and TMS systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of load securement requirements and flatbed-specific equipment is a plus.
