Escrow Analyst Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain real estate tax records within the servicing system based on information received from Master or Sub-Servicers.
- Enter real estate tax payment data into the servicing platform as reported by Master or Sub-Servicers to initiate the approval workflow.
- For non-escrowed loans, track property tax payments and promptly alert the Asset Manager of any delinquencies or outstanding issues.
- Verify that all loans under your portfolio carry adequate insurance coverage in compliance with loan terms.
- Communicate any insurance deficiencies, lapses, or recommendations to the respective Asset Managers.
- Record and process both annual and monthly insurance premium payments for escrowed loans through coordination with Master Servicers.
- Order flood zone determinations and upload the documentation into LPAMS.
- Oversee and administer cash-managed loans, including monthly waterfall calculations in partnership with Asset Managers and Master Servicers, as well as processing funding requests from Borrowers or Receivers.
- Work with Master Servicers, Borrowers, and Asset Managers to establish cash management structures, including DACA and CMA account setups.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of commercial loans and the ability to interpret loan agreements and related legal documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Finance, Real Estate, or related field).
- Minimum of one year of experience in loan servicing, commercial real estate, or financial services preferred.
- Relevant internship or industry exposure will be considered a plus.
