Job Description:

A growing construction firm in Dallas is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join their preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction estimating, including earthwork, utilities, concrete, and site development projects. This is a key role responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids that support the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Conduct site visits and interface with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals for civil and infrastructure projects.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with the scope of work.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers during the bidding and planning phases.
• Track historical costs and maintain database of pricing for materials and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

• 3–7 years of experience in civil construction estimating (commercial, municipal, or industrial projects preferred).
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of excavation, grading, utility, and concrete scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (but not required).
