We are partnered with a highly respected, third-generation civil general contractor with over 80 years of experience in the NYC Metropolitan area. Known for their commitment to quality and integrity, they specialize in both public and private sector projects, with a strong portfolio of infrastructure work for agencies such as NYCDOT, MTA, LIRR, PANYNJ etc.

Your new role

They are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their growing team. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the full estimating process for complex civil construction projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and executives to develop accurate, competitive bids that align with the company’s strategic goals.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience estimating heavy civil, utility, and public works projects in the NYC area.
• Familiarity with agency work (DDC, DEP, DOT, NYCT) and prevailing wage requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and presentations.
• Provide support during contract negotiations and project planning phases.
• 10+ years of experience in construction and estimating civil infrastructure projects.
