Job Title: Field Safety Manager

Location: North Houston

Salary: $55,000 - $75,000

Industry: Construction / Civil Engineering

Day to Day

• Preview project sites before work begins to identify and assess safety-related risks.
• Conduct site visits on active projects to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with project management teams and field workers to implement solutions to safety issues.
• Maintain safety documentation, including OSHA 300 logs and certification records.
• Deliver training sessions on safe work practices for employees.
• Enforce disciplinary measures for employees and subcontractors failing to comply with safety standards.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Active listening skills with the ability to understand employee perspectives.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations relevant to construction activities.
• Strong recordkeeping and organizational abilities.
• Ability to access heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• Knowledge of specific construction trades to effectively evaluate and advise on safety solutions.
• OSHA OTI training certification preferred.
