Artia Global Partners LP, a hedge fund firm, is seeking an experienced Hedge Fund Tax Manager / Controller to join our firm. The position reports to the firm’s CFO and Managing Partner and offers an excellent growth opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

o Hedge Fund Tax

• Manage hedge fund tax compliance and planning, in collaboration with the CFO
• Oversee preparation of partnership tax returns, K-1s, and various tax workpapers
• Conduct tax research and analysis for the funds and principal partners
• Prepare periodic tax estimates and deliverables
• Provide strategic advice on complex tax concepts
• Communicate tax matters with internal and external parties
• Analyze and monitor taxable income, partnership allocations, wash sales, and straddles

o Hedge Fund Accounting

• Assist with daily and monthly NAV reconciliation process
• Manage relationships with Big Four accounting firms and the annual audit process
• Support the CFO in day-to-day hedge fund operations, including internal accounting, performance reporting, margin monitoring, securities lending, daily trade settlements, and regulatory filings
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives to support the firm’s growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA required
• MS in Taxation is a plus
• 3+ years of hedge fund tax experience. Preferably within a hedge fund, asset management, or public accounting firm
• Deep understanding of hedge fund investment tax matters, including analysis, tracking, and compliance
• Familiarity with fund accounting and tax software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High degree of integrity and professionalism
• Demonstrated ability to think critically, learn new skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
