Position Overview:

My client is seeking a Consumer Focused Investment Analyst to join their team. This position offers the chance to work closely with senior portfolio managers and play an integral role in the firm’s investment process. The ideal candidate will have a track record of producing differentiated insights, a passion for in-depth research, and several years of relevant experience in management consulting (MBB), investment banking, or the buy-side.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on companies within the consumer sector.
• Develop and present differentiated, high conviction long and short investment ideas.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate company performance and valuation.
• Analyze industry trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors impacting consumer businesses.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to size positions and monitor investments over time.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of investment experience at a hedge fund or other buy-side firm.
• Strong sector knowledge and genuine interest in the consumer space.
• Proven ability to generate original research and actionable investment ideas.
• Exceptional analytical, modeling, and valuation skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
