Job Title: IT Finance Manager

Location: Hybrid – Atlanta, GA

Direct Hire

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Finance Manager to play a key role in managing the financial aspects of Digital Operating Model (DOM) IT projects, budgets, and operations. This position will collaborate closely with IT and Finance teams to ensure that financial planning, return-on-investment (ROI) assessments, and budgets align with overall business objectives. The IT Finance Manager will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating and evaluating business cases, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and controls.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of financial management experience required.
  • Minimum 4 years of IT-focused finance experience required.
  • Strong blend of IT/Digital Tech, Finance, and Healthcare.
  • Experience with Strata and Workday are required.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets for DOM-related projects, departments, and operations.
  • Collaborate with IT leaders and project managers to create detailed business cases for technology initiatives.
  • Monitor and track actual expenditures against budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

Cost Analysis & Optimization

  • Evaluate technology investments and ROI to support decision-making for capital expenditures and resource allocation.
  • Work with entity financial leaders to identify ROI opportunities and gather necessary data for cost/benefit analysis.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and deliver regular financial reports for senior management and board presentations, highlighting performance against budget and key financial metrics.

IT Financial Systems & Controls

  • Establish and maintain financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure alignment with overall corporate financial policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine funding needs for DOM projects.

Financial Compliance & Audit

  • Support internal and external audits related to IT financials, ensuring records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal control standards.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and workflows for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement financial management best practices across DOM IT departments.

Special Projects

  • Provide support to the IT Business Office as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Information Technology, or Finance required.
  • MBA preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficient in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, financial reporting tools) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of IT project management principles and methodologies preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and integrity in reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
