Job Title: JDE Platform Manager
Location: Hybrid in Rosemont, Illinois
Duration: 6 Month Contract (potential for extension)
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Swoon has an exciting contract opportunity with an electronics manufacturing client, who is actively seeking a JDE Platform Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical and functional expertise in JDE, with a focus on distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain modules. This individual will oversee JDE platform performance, manage third-party service providers, and drive key upgrade and integration initiatives. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day operations, upgrades, and optimization of the JD Edwards platform
- Provide expertise across core JDE modules including Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, and SCM
- Ensure seamless integration between JDE and external systems, including patching and upgrades
- Leverage JDE development tools to support customizations, enhancements, and issue resolution
- Coordinate with Application Managed Service (AMS) providers to ensure service delivery and platform stability
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver platform solutions
- Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables with a strong focus on execution and quality
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of hands-on JD Edwards experience with strong functional and technical expertise
- Proficiency in JDE Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain modules
- Solid experience with JDE development tools, CNC administration, and architecture
- Proven success leading JDE upgrades, patch deployments, and system integrations
- Strong understanding of platform governance, security, and performance tuning
- Experience working with third-party AMS providers and managing vendor relationships
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a global, fast-paced environment
