We are looking for a qualified Electrical resource to support commissioning and quality responsibilities for a client of ours. This individual will be primarily responsible as a primary point-of-contact regarding code compliance and constructability for Construction Management and Engineering Groups as well as providing discipline-specific installation support on projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Inspect all materials received prior to installation or use to ensure fabrication specifications are met, ensure that installations are performed in accordance with: Master Specifications, Standard Installation Details, State and Local Codes UMC, UBC UPC and NFPA, SMACNA Standards, and International Codes, ASME, AWS, etc.
· Interface with project/construction management and trades on matters affecting the project quality of work and system operation.
· Work with contractor supervision on functions and requirements for installations.
· Assist trades in identifying and solving construction problems.
· Perform all necessary inspections and equipment signoff requirements.
· Participate in SOP and perform pre-task plan audits for compliance with all requirements.
Position Requirements and Qualifications :
· 5+ years of relevant experience supporting construction and industrial environments.
· Strong knowledge is required in the following areas: local and national codes; construction drawings/symbols; acceptable industry standard/practices; etc.
· Must be able to read and understand building prints/drawings.
· Effective communication with a variety of individuals including but not limited to engineers, customers, trades people, inspectors, project managers, and other electricians.
· Proficiency with a computer and ability to coordinate daily scheduled activities is strongly preferred.
· Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
Education:
Journeyman Electrician license required
