We are seeking a Junior Application Developer to join our team to design, develop, and maintain software applications that support our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, an understanding of manufacturing systems, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software upgrades and solutions.
The Junior Application Developer will work onsite, primarily in an office environment, developing both new and advancements in current applications alongside counterparts who are based internationally. This role will require some international travel to other company sites.
Requirements:Job Duties:
· Develop, test, and maintain software applications that enhance manufacturing and production operations.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Design user interfaces, create APIs, and ensure system integration across platforms.
· Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes.
· Maintain data integrity and security within applications.
· Participate in project meetings to provide technical insight and expertise.
· Support and upgrade existing applications to meet evolving business needs.
· Write clean, scalable code using industry best practices.
· Conduct user training and provide technical support as needed.
· Monitor new technologies and identify opportunities for the implementation of those
technologies where they may improve products and processes.
· Document application processes, configurations, and user guidelines.
· Provide technical responsibility for automation system design on upgrades and new control
system projects.
Required Skills:
· 3+ years of experience in application development, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
· Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or .NET.
· Experience with database management systems (SQL, Oracle) and application frameworks.
· Familiarity with manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, SCADA) is a plus.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Strong sense of curiosity and eagerness to learn.
· Possess strong initiative and ability to work independently as well as with others, when
needed.
· Has a passport or could attain a passport for international travel.
