Job Description

MAU is hiring a Manufacturing Technical Writer for our client in Greenville, SC. As a Manufacturing Technical Writer, you will support the Process Industrialization team by creating documentation for manufacturing processes and industrial standards. This is an 18-month, fully onsite contract opportunity with the potential for direct hire.

Shift Information:

• Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• OR
• Associate degree or high school diploma/GED with at least 1 year of technical writing experience
• Willingness to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
• Flexibility to adjust schedule based on project timelines

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Machine Tool Technology
• Demonstrated examples of technical writing
• Experience applying lean manufacturing principles
• Effective communication skills across multiple organizational levels
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-motivated and proactive work approach

General Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with operators and engineers in a production setting
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment

Essential Functions:

• Create documentation outlining manufacturing processes (methods writing)
• Develop industrialization standards and best practices (standards writing)
• Collaborate with operators and engineers to document procedures
• Perform hands-on inspections and validate processes
• Identify and eliminate inefficiencies and waste
• Apply lean principles to enhance quality and documentation
