Dalton, a leading creative advertising agency is seeking an experienced and creative Copywriter to join our dynamic team. As a Copywriter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the voice of our clients' brands through engaging and innovative content. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of art directors, creative directors, designers, and strategists to develop cutting-edge creative that resonates with target audiences and elevate brand identity.
What you will be doing in the role:
- Develop clear, creative, and persuasive copy for a wide variety of platforms, including emails, digital advertising, websites, video scripts, and blog posts
- Write a series of emails a week for a high-volume, but creative client. Emails are copy light, but require smart, witty subject lines, preview text, and headlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including art directors, designers, creative directors, strategists, and account managers, to ensure copy aligns with brand voice and overall project goals
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop unique and effective campaign concepts
- Write, edit, and proofread content to ensure high-quality output that meets brand standards and client objectives
- Oversee and lead voice over sessions and provide direction to director of production and video editors and animators
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inspire new ideas and approaches in your work
- Be prepared to do some of your own research on more technical products or services
What you will bring to the role:
- 2-4 years of copywriting experience, ideally within a creative or advertising agency
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of integrated work
- Solid writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an ability to adapt to various brand tones and voices
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience presenting concepts and strategies to clients and internal teams
- Proven ability to take initiative and elevate creative briefs
- A team-oriented mindset with a strong ability to collaborate with designers, strategists, and clients
