Trident Consulting is seeking a " Material Handler - Forklift " for one of our clients. A global leader in business and technology services.
Title: Material Handler - Forklift
Location: 6950 Ambassador Dr., Allentown, PA 18106
Pay Rate: $20/hr - $23/hr on W2
Type: Contract-W2
Duration: Based on business needs (estimated 1,080 hours)
Core Responsibilities
- Material Handling & Forklift Operation
- Safely operate forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
- Load/unload trailers and trucks with raw materials, finished goods, and waste.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory in designated warehouse areas, including high racks.
- Order Fulfillment & Inventory
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Receive and unpack inbound materials.
- Use RF scanners for tracking and documentation of material movement.
- Maintain accurate inventory and follow stock management procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance & Safety
- Conduct daily pre-operation equipment inspections.
- Report and document any maintenance issues.
- Follow all site safety protocols and company policies.
- Use PPE when handling chemicals or substances.
- Workplace Organization
- Keep the warehouse clean and free of obstructions.
- Dispose of waste or debris safely and efficiently.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain logs and basic PC data entry for shipment and receiving records.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years forklift operation experience (mandatory).
- Skills:
- RF scanner and pallet jack operation.
- Basic computer literacy (PCs, printers, data entry).
- Ability to read and follow written English instructions.
- Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted ; occasionally heavier with help.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.
- Must pass a standard physical exam .
Work Environment
- Indoor warehouse/distribution center.
- Exposure to chemicals and substances (PPE required).
- No exposure to blood, viruses, or lasers.
- No respirator use or animal handling involved.
- No travel required (0%).
Key Compliance Notes
- Forklift certification required or provided onsite.
- Adherence to OSHA and EHS safety guidelines.
- Weekly timesheet reporting (time in/out).

- Have at least 5 years of verifiable forklift and warehouse experience .
- Be detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
- Be comfortable with both manual labor and digital tracking systems (RF scanners, PC use).
- Show reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
