The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013, to bring fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets, and croissant items inspired by bakeries in France to the DMV area. We have expanded to seven retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Second Shift
Germantown, MD (with travel throughout DC, MD, VA)
Full-time | Tuesday–Saturday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
$23.50–$30.00/hr + $1.00/hr second shift differential

We're expanding our Maintenance Team and looking for a skilled, hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our second shift.

If you're a proactive troubleshooter with experience working with bakery machinery, HVAC systems, and mechanical components—and you want to be part of a company that values your expertise—this role is for you!

What You'll Do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on bakery production machinery (e.g., ovens, mixers) and coffee shop equipment (e.g., automatic espresso machines)
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on bakery equipment and coffee shop systems to minimize downtime
• Install, replace, lubricate, and clean mechanical parts and systems in both production and retail environments
• Maintain HVAC units, plumbing, electrical systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, and other building infrastructure
• Document maintenance activities and parts used through our computerized maintenance system (CMMS)
• Communicate clearly using digital tools to coordinate with team members and management
• Maintain tools, parts inventory, and keep maintenance areas clean and organized
• Travel regularly to production center and retail locations using a company vehicle
• Assist with equipment upgrades and collaborate on maintenance scheduling with managers
• Take on other duties as needed to support smooth operations

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• EPA or CFC Certification (required)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
• Willingness to travel regularly to multiple production bakery and coffee shop locations

Preferred Extras

• OSHA certification, low-voltage safety, or first aid certification
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation

Your Training Schedule

• Initial training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Post-training shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM

Work Environment
