Pride Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a team in Menomonee Falls, WI. This role focuses on delivering patient-centered care and providing essential support during clinical visits, ensuring smooth operations and a positive patient experience.
Job Summary:
A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and remaining compliant with all organization educational, licensure or certification. This role may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.
Job Responsibilities:
-Rooms patients using the standard rooming procedure in a timely manner to assure optimal patient flow and to meet customer service standards.
-Performs clinical tasks including, but not limited to: Point of care testing, medication and vaccination administration, application of durable medical equipment, phlebotomy, and assists with procedures per protocol.
-Completes administrative duties such as: medication refills per protocol, prior authorizations, communicating normal results, handling of MyChart messages, and incoming and outgoing paperwork within the standard turnaround time.
Education:
Required Education:
-High School Diploma or GED.
--Completion of one of the following:
-MA program.
-EMT-Basic course.
-Trained on the job, MA with one (1) year of experience in health care, or completion of the MA Apprentice program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.
Additional Information:
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Schedule: #1 Monday 8:30-5:30, Tuesday 8:30-5:30, Wednesday 8:30-6:30, Thursday 8:30-11:30 & Friday 8:30-11:30.
#2 Monday 7 am-4:30, Tuesday 7 am- 4:30, Wednesday 7 am- 11 pm, Thursday 7 am- 4:30 & Friday 7 am-4:30.
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $24- $28/hour
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
