Monadnock Community Hospital, located in the beautiful Monadnock region of southern New Hampshire, is searching for a full-time community based Orthopedic Surgeon to join a highly regarded multispecialty group on the hospital's main campus. The Surgeon will join two established fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgical teams, and Mayo Clinic fellowship trained non-surgical Physiatry and Interventional Pain Management Specialists.

The Surgeon will be responsible for collaborating and coordinating treatment with multiple Monadnock Community Hospital departments for the delivery of appropriate orthopedic health care services, providing care in a professional, efficient, and ethical manner. This will be done in accordance with the standards and recommendations of CMS, applicable laws and regulations outlined by the state of New Hampshire, and the philosophy of Monadnock Community Hospital.

Inpatient/Emergency Department Services:

• Participate in 1:3, 24-hour call coverage, including weekends; Physicians typically take 2nd call as 1st call is covered by 3 experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistants
• Manage patient care in office, the OR and Medical Surgical unit
• Performs evaluations, consultations, surgery and orthopedic inpatient responsibilities

Location of Services:

• Provides services at Monadnock Orthopedic Associates located at Monadnock Community Hospital’s Bond Wellness Center in Peterborough, NH
• Our 5000 sq. ft. contemporary office includes an in-office x-ray suite updated in 2025, top of the line ultrasound and C-arm machines, procedure and casting rooms

• Attends physician and management meetings
• Maintains State licensure and Board certifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Delivers age-appropriate patient care within scope of practice

• Applies extensive knowledge and judgment in field-related tasks

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school
• Completed Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Hampshire
• Board Certification
