About the Role: Outside Sales Representative

We’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Schoolcraft, MI. In this role, you’ll work directly with professional builders, remodelers, and serious DIYers , helping them find the right building materials to bring their projects to life.

Your top priority? Delivering exceptional customer service while building strong relationships and driving growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide knowledgeable sales support to builders, remodelers, and homeowners
• Grow and expand both new and existing customer relationships
• Perform accurate material takeoffs and blueprint readings
• Complete on-site job inspections and coordinate timely deliveries
• Achieve sales and margin goals while maintaining accurate records and reports
• Clearly communicate with customers, team members, and suppliers
• Maintain a company vehicle in excellent condition
• Tackle special projects assigned by management
• Always prioritize safety and customer satisfaction

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in the building materials industry
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and material takeoffs
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivation with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and use our in-house software
• High school diploma or GED preferred
