Job Summary:

The Payroll Audit Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll processes within an organization. This role involves conducting audits, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with HR and finance teams to maintain payroll integrity and adherence to legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit payroll records and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Review timekeeping systems, employee classifications, and wage calculations.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or irregularities.
• Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to verify payroll data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of payroll systems and procedures.
• Stay current with payroll tax laws, labor regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Train staff on payroll policies and system updates.
• Handle payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers.
