Job Description

We're looking for a Pharmacy Technician for our client in Elmhurst, NY 11370.

Title : Pharmacy Technician (Sterile experience preferred)

Location : Elmhurst, NY 11373

Duration : 13-Weeks Contract

Shift: 1:00 PM-9:00 PM

Pay Range : $33/hr

Required:

• One year of experience required
• Pharmacy dispensing experience, Sterile Processing experience, IV room experience
• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the NYSED

Job Duties:

• Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy technicians will assist pharmacists in the preparation, distribution of medications and maintaining drug inventory.
• Adheres to Federal, State, and local laws and other regulatory requirements regarding pharmacy and institutional practice.
• Performs related work rotating between satellites, tours and shifts.
• Under pharmacist supervision, will rotate assignments, and tours to meet departmental needs.
• Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within a specified time period
• Received, return, and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to various hospital areas
• Operate equipment properly.
• Troubleshoots automated dispensing systems as needed
