Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily label manufacturing operations across printing, converting, inspection, and finishing processes.
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer deadlines and minimize downtime.
Lead, mentor, and manage production staff; foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Monitor and report on key production metrics, including throughput, scrap rates, machine utilization, and labor efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all production activities.
Drive lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production floor.
Coordinate material usage and inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure job readiness.
Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations for production personnel.

Qualifications

5+ years of supervisory or management experience in label manufacturing, packaging, or a related industry.
Strong understanding of label production workflows, including flexographic or digital printing, die-cutting, laminating, and finishing.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing KPIs, lean principles, and process improvement tools.
Proven leadership ability with experience in managing production teams in a high-volume environment.
Familiarity with ERP or production management systems (e.g., Label Traxx, EFI, or others).
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting.
