Quality Assurance / QC Lab Technician- Day Shift- Monday to Friday

Role Overview

The QA / QC Lab Technician will support food safety and quality control operations in a high-paced food production environment. This role ensures that manufactured products, ingredients, and packaging meet company standards and regulatory (GMP/SQF) specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in‑process batches, and finished products, including weight checks, oxygen/content tests, packaging inspections, and leaker checks.
• Conduct routine sanitation inspections, metal detector and scale verifications, and other food safety critical control point (CCP) monitoring
• Collect, prepare, and process product samples for retention and testing programs. Manage lab documentation and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Calibrate and maintain lab instruments and equipment accurately.
• Accurately document all test results, variances, deviations, and findings. Initiate holds or stop production when specifications are not met.
• Work closely with production teams to prevent or resolve quality issues in real time.
• Support compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation, and food safety standards throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or similar is preferred.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing or quality control preferred
• Strong attention to detail, excellent documentation skills, and ability to follow standard operating
