Registered Dietitian – Psych Setting
Location: Caro, Michigan (On-site)
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $38/hour, paid weekly
Job Overview
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join the clinical team at the Caro Center . In this role, you will provide nutritional assessment, counseling, and meal planning for individuals receiving inpatient behavioral health services. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by promoting health, recovery, and well-being through evidence-based nutrition care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ nutritional status and progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition therapy into overall treatment plans.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and staff on nutrition, wellness, and dietary management.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility dietary regulations and policies.
- Participate in menu development and oversight to ensure meals meet patient needs and dietary standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical or behavioral health nutrition experience preferred.
