  • Proactively identify potential scheduling and project control issues and develop mitigation strategies and recovery plans.
  • Conduct detailed schedule analysis, including critical path analysis, schedule delay analysis, and time impact analysis for potential changes and claims.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, field staff, and subcontractors, as well as corporate leadership to gather accurate progress information and ensure schedule buy-in and adherence.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders regarding schedule and project controls matters.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of scheduling and project controls best practices and standards within the Heavy Civil group.
  • Mentor and train junior scheduling and project controls staff.
  • Ensure all scheduling and project controls activities align with the company's safety, ethics, and sustainability standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field), or a related discipline, but not essential.
  • Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in scheduling and project controls for large and complex heavy civil infrastructure projects (e.g., bridges, highways, tunnels, marine structures, rail, treatment plants).
  • Demonstrated expertise in using Primavera P6 for schedule development, analysis, and management is essential.

  • Proven ability to lead planning sessions and workshops with project teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with risk analysis and management is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PSP, PMI-SP) are desirable.

Benefits:

This opportunity offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees, which typically includes:
