Senior Underwriting Specialist - Casualty Lines (Hybrid: 1 Day/Week in Office during first 6 months)

A respected national A+ rated insurance carrier is seeking a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join its casualty underwriting team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work with just one day per week in-office, providing the best of both worlds: autonomy and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of casualty accounts, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and profitability goals.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to develop customized coverage solutions.
• Assess risk exposures, pricing adequacy, and loss trends to support sound underwriting decisions.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, including product development and process enhancements.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior underwriters.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of commercial underwriting experience, with a focus on casualty lines.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional in-office collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; industry designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are a plus.
