About the Role:

Consulting for Architects, Inc. is seeking a Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager on behalf of our client, a boutique, multidisciplinary design studio based in the vibrant Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. The firm is made up of dynamic, international designers and creative professionals whose work spans hospitality (hotels, F&B, branding, and furniture/FF&E design) , retail , and residential projects — both domestic and international.

Description:

The Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager will lead projects from concept through completion , overseeing design conceptualization, space planning, FF&E specification and purchasing, construction documentation, and construction administration.

This role requires a confident designer who can manage client relationships, communicate with vendors, contractors, and consultants, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the firm’s high design standards .

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of design, from concept development through construction administration
  • Manage client, vendor, contractor, and consultant communication
  • Oversee schedules, budgets, and project deliverables
  • Develop and coordinate construction document sets
  • Specify FF&E and manage procurement
  • Supervise design teams and ensure quality and consistency across project phases

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • 5–8 years of professional experience (minimum 2–3 in project management, including CA)
  • Proven experience in hospitality design (retail and multi-unit residential a plus)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to balance design and technical execution
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD , SketchUp/Rhino or 3D Max , InDesign , Photoshop , and Illustrator
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and multitasking abilities

Location:

Brooklyn, NY (Williamsburg)

Salary Range:

$90,000 – $125,000 (commensurate with experience)
