Data Center Project Manager – Atlanta, GA (On-Site) | $150,000–$200,000

The Opportunity

We are supporting the hiring of a Data Center Project Manager to lead the build-out of a key facility in Atlanta . You’ll be the on-the-ground expert overseeing the transformation of an existing shell into a high-performance, mission-critical data center. This role is ideal for a technical leader with deep expertise in MEP systems, commissioning, and data center operations.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the end-to-end development of a data center within an existing shell structure
• Oversee contractor SOW reviews and vendor pricing validation
• Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of critical MEP infrastructure
• Resolve technical issues during the construction and commissioning phases
• Ensure delivery meets timelines, budgets, and stringent performance benchmarks
• Coordinate cross-functionally with operations to align on handover and functionality
• Provide clear project updates to internal teams and leadership
• Be physically present on-site in Atlanta at least 80% of the time

What You Bring

• Proven experience in data center project management
• Deep understanding of MEP systems, commissioning, and critical infrastructure
• A track record managing complex builds from shell to operational readiness
• Expertise in reviewing scopes of work and pricing from specialty vendors
• Strong communication, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management skills
• Based in or near Atlanta with willingness to be on-site frequently

Bonus Points For

• Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
• Experience navigating local permitting in the Atlanta metro area
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute, TIA standards, and other industry benchmarks
• Expertise in data center commissioning procedures
