Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products provides sealed and unsealed radiation sources and materials for Medical Imaging sources; Industrial sources for measurement and analysis; Oil Well Logging sources and related products; Reference, Calibration and Environmental Monitoring sources and solutions; Bulk radioisotopes for pharmaceutical, therapeutic and industrial product manufacturing; Services for collection, recycling and disposal of sources and low-activity waste; Sources for industrial Non-Destructive Testing; High-Activity radiation sources for radiation processing and sterilization; Medical and Industrial irradiators for blood irradiation, sterilization or calibration.

The Job

Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products seeks a Shipper I   to join our team. This position is responsible for packaging hazardous material shipments according to the Company’s regulations. Receives incoming material and distributes items to proper personnel. Also responsible for all other regular shipping and receiving duties as assigned by the Shipping Lead or Supervisor. 

Duties:

  1. Handle shipping of hazardous materials as well as returning packages and receivables.
  2. Ensure that all daily shipments are delivered to Accounting department daily.
  3. Ensure that all outgoing shipment have been wiped and processed by counting room personnel before leaving the facility.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the receiving and stockroom areas as well as in the packaging area. 
  5. Maintain all packaging and shipping supplies and ensure that they are properly stored.
  6. Enter disposition of incoming parts after inspection is completed.
  7. Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment used (engraver, label printer).
  8. Receive all incoming shipments and ensure that all work orders on the shipping dock are processed in a timely manner.
  9. Receive incoming parts and forward parts and receipts to inspection department.
  10. Receive incoming shipments in the ERP system and verify packing list against purchase orders.
  11. Process incoming nuclide receipts and inspections.
  12. Process packaging of all orders and ensure that all packaging meets regulations.

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum education (or substitute experience) required: High School Diploma. 
  • Minimum experience required: At least one year experience in shipping and/or receiving or packaging.
  • Abilities and skills required:
    1. Ability to do basic math. 
    2. Strong attention to detail.
    3. Effective communication skills.
    4. Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and carrier shipments.
    5. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
    6. Ability to task-switch and effectively prioritize workload.
    7. Forklift certified a plus.
