Job Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Shipping Supervisor to join their team. As one of the largest commercial food manufacturers on the East Coast commercial bakery on the East Coast they are undergoing an exciting transformation and are looking for individuals who share their commitment to continuous improvement, accountability, and quality.

In this crucial role, you will help drive a positive culture change throughout their production process, ensuring the consistent creation of high-quality products. You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of 8 to 15 people.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on night shift . We offer a supportive environment where professional development and growth are encouraged.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive a Safety Culture: Ensure a safe work environment by instituting and upholding safety protocols.
• Quality Control: Inspect product quality, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain consistency.
• Meet Throughput and Cost-Per-Unit Goals: Collaborate with the team to optimize processes and increase productivity while managing costs effectively.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with maintenance, engineering, shipping, and quality control to ensure seamless operations.
• Leadership and Team Motivation: Lead and motivate your team, promote teamwork, and foster a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with a strong leadership presence, a relentless drive for continuous improvement, and a proven ability to identify and solve problems. Previous experience in a production setting, ideally within the food and beverage industry, is advantageous.

While a technical degree is preferred, it is not a requirement. We value individuals with a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for making a difference. A continuous improvement mindset is crucial for success in this role.
