Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role requires 3 to 4 years of professional accounting experience and strong working knowledge of Yardi Voyager . The ideal candidate will also have experience reviewing K-1 forms and supporting investment reporting processes. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with both the property management and investment teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile bank accounts, investment balances, and intercompany accounts
- Utilize Yardi Voyager and Yardi Investment Management to support both operational and investment accounting functions
- Assist with investor reporting, capital calls, and distributions
- Review and track K-1s received from partnership entities
- Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation
- Assist with external audits by preparing supporting documentation
- Collaborate with property managers, asset managers, and the investment team on financial matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience (real estate or private equity preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager
- Strong understanding of GAAP and investment structures
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
