Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

• Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of optical coatings, lens fabrication, and assembly processes.

• Perform detailed maufactoring of precision optical components and assemblies to verify conformance to specifications and drawings.

• Assist in the development and improvement of maufacturing procedures and protocols.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Maintain maufacturing equipment and ensure calibration status is current.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in optical inspection or a related field.
• Proficiency in using optical and mechanical measurement tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise and accurate inspections.
• Good understanding of optical principles and quality control processes.
• Experience with Working with very fragile and precise assemblies.
• Able to communicate with engineers and other employees on the floor
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document and report findings clearly
