Summary

Kiddie Academy of Rocky Hill is looking for a responsible, emotionally stable, warm, and friendly Summer Camp Counselor who has a passion for working with children. 
Applicants must be able to meet CT licensing requirements, to cooperate with others and help to create a positive, supportive team atmosphere. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are also highly valued. 

Duties

• Plans, and implements summer camp programs for children (5-12 years old)
• Develops positive relationship with children and parents
• Provides educational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants.
• Maintains a schedule for camp participants.
• Organizes and leads various small and large group activities
• Ensures the cleanliness of the site.
• Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports and daily reports.
• Follows all safety guidelines, supervises campers, and ensures their safety and well-being.
• Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
• Records and tracks camper?s dietary restrictions/allergies and ensures that the meals/snacks are distributed to them.

Requirements

A Camp Counselor should be outgoing, energetic, creative, well-organized
Experience working with children
HS Diploma

Nice To Haves

Associate/Bachelor's degree
CPR & First Aid certificate
Medication Administration certificate
