Role:
This role combines sample sewing, quality control, and garment finishing, ensuring each luxury piece is impeccably crafted and meets the highest standards. The individual will be responsible for constructing garments, inspecting for quality, and ensuring flawless finishing through pressing and steaming.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble samples according to design and pattern specifications.
• Work with various fabric types, including delicate and high-end materials.
• Provide feedback on construction challenges and suggest improvements.
• Ensure high-quality stitching and finishing.
• Inspect garments for construction quality, fit, and finishing.
• Document and communicate any issues or necessary changes.
• Work closely with the Sample Room Manager to maintain standards.
• Finalizes garments by pressing, steaming, and ensuring impeccable presentation.
• Use industrial irons and presses to finish samples.
• Handle delicate fabrics with care.
• Conducts in-house fittings and custom alterations.
• Plus to have hand-sewing experience.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a high-end or luxury fashion environment.
• Mastery of industrial sewing machines and garment construction techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Proficiency with industrial pressing and finishing equipment.
• Experience working with luxury fabrics and couture techniques.
• Ability to perform quality control and maintain luxury standards.
