Job Description

Provides a variety of routine, complex, skilled and technical work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Water Treatment Plant . Actively supports and upholds the City’s stated mission and values. Some weekend and holiday work required.

Compensation & Benefits

2025 compensation for this position is $25.34/hr - $29.25/hr, DOQ with an excellent benefits package.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); and
  • Possess a valid Ohio driver’s license*; and
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in water treatment and/or water distribution system operations and/or maintenance; or minimum of two (2) years of experience in water reclamation and/or sanitary sewer collection system operations and/or maintenance as determined by the department director or designee; and
  • Possess an Ohio EPA Class I Water Supply Operator license or possess an Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Works Operator license as determined by the department director or designee*;
  • Must be able to respond within a reasonable amount of time to emergencies and fulfill physical demands of the position; and
  • Must be able and willing to work extended hours and demonstrate a work history of reliable attendance and overtime response.

*Licensures must be maintained over the course of employment as a condition of employment within this classification.
