SUMMARY

This senior-level position is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive BSA/AML/CFT/OFAC compliance program that meets regulatory expectations and supports the Bank’s risk management framework. The role ensures the Bank maintains effective systems and controls to identify, monitor, and report suspicious activity and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

The salary for this role will be between $85,583 and $126,663. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates BSA/AML/CFT/OFAC policies, procedures, and risk assessments as needed.
  • Oversees the BSA/AML/CFT/OFAC compliance program to ensure effectiveness and alignment with regulatory expectations.
  • Chairs the BSA Oversight and SAR Committees to review significant risk exposures and suspicious activity.
  • Administers and optimizes the automated BSA monitoring system to detect and assess suspicious activity.
  • Conducts customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews and monitors high-risk accounts.
  • Performs quality control reviews of SARs and CTRs to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Coordinates with the Fraud Team on SAR filings related to fraudulent activity.
  • Oversees and executes quality control testing of the Currency Transaction Report (CTR) filing process to ensure submissions are accurate, complete, and timely. Manages the CTR Exemption process, including the review and designation of new exemptions and the completion of required annual reviews.
  • Responds to FinCEN 314(a) requests and other regulatory inquiries.
  • Supports departments in identifying and resolving potential OFAC matches.
  • Assists departments in training and implementing processes necessary to comply with regulations.
  • Develops reports and deliver presentations with recommendations to Executive Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Leads the preparation and collection of required documentation and serves as the primary liaison with auditors and examiners during audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Supervises and develops BSA team members.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

  • Attends applicable compliance training to maintain a working knowledge of all laws and regulations related to BSA. Completes other assigned training with passing scores.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive confidential information.
  • Follows all Riverview policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Relationships

  • Frequent contact with branch/department personnel and management in providing information regarding risk evaluations, investigations, and determination of OFAC and 314(a) matches.
  • Engages periodically with independent auditors and examiners from various government agencies to support BSA audits and regulatory examinations.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • College degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of BSA-related compliance experience within a financial institution.
  • Must be fully knowledgeable in all areas of BSA compliance.

Skills

  • Proven experience in developing and managing BSA/AML/CFT/OFAC compliance programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate systems, analyze data, and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent leadership and project management abilities, including the ability to train and manage team members.
  • Proficient in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft policies and procedures, write reports, and present to executives and team.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking operations, compliance laws, and BSA/AML/CFT regulations, with the ability to research and interpret regulatory changes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
