Job Title: Chemist
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Location: Monroeville, PA
Start Date: Right Away
Responsibilities:
* Promote and ensure safe work including the operation of equipment, handling of chemicals, etc.
* Learn and conduct a variety of analytical tests and procedures to characterize precipitated silica products and rubber materials containing silica products, including porosimetry, density, tear strength, abrasion resistance, mechanical properties, rheological properties, etc.
* Operate silica precipitation and spray drying equipment, handle chemicals, assist with equipment maintenance, and complete related tasks as required.
* Communicate technical conclusions through written and verbal summaries, reports, presentations, and updates.
Requirements:
* Bachelor"s degree in Chemistry or a relevant technical field, such as Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or an Engineering discipline with a strong background in chemistry.
* Ability to execute technical procedures and test methods accurately and consistently.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
