Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team with the strong possibility of continued employment in a different capacity post-project due to anticipated team growth and evolving business needs.

Project Scope:

The primary focus of this role is to support a document control initiative involving the inventory, coordination, and transfer of physical QA documents to an offsite third-party storage facility. This is not a digital migration project—candidates must be comfortable working with physical files and managing logistics and communication across departments to ensure accurate and compliant storage practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the physical document inventory process for offsite storage.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal departments to identify, prepare, and track document shipments.
  • Ensure that document control procedures align with internal quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of archived documents and support document retrievals as needed.
  • Learn and utilize internal data/document management systems (training provided).
  • Support additional document control or QA tasks as needed by the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Industry experience in a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotech, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Background in document control is required, particularly with handling and organizing physical files.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be available to work onsite, full-time (M–F, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM).

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with document or data control systems (please include details in your application).
