ABOUT US
Anthos|Home is an innovative nonprofit transforming the way New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and secure stable housing. Modeled after Brilliant Corners in California, Anthos|Home streamlines the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes while addressing gaps in the NYC voucher housing system. We aim to be a game-changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness.

THE ROLE
The Housing Acquisition Supervisor will report to the Vice President of Housing Acquisition, and will oversee a team of four to five Housing Acquisition Specialists, ensuring that they identify and secure appropriate rental housing across New York City. In addition to supervising the team, the Supervisor will also cultivate and manage their own relationships with property owners, property managers, and brokers. The ideal candidate will have a background in real estate or housing and a passion for problem-solving.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise a team of five to six Housing Acquisition Specialists.
  • Ensure the team is actively acquiring rental housing and maintaining property provider relationships.
  • Support Housing Acquisition Specialists in generating leasing leads via phone, internet, social media, in-person, and canvassing.
  • Oversee account management to ensure continuous support for property providers and nurture repeat business.
  • Ensure that timely and accurate data is maintained in the internal database.
  • Review reports for quality assurance, ensuring accuracy and identifying data errors for correction, while monitoring production and work targets to ensure efficiency and goal achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor of Tenant Coordination and Aftercare to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Attend industry events as needed to represent Anthos|Home, build relationships, and engage with peers, potential partners, and industry leaders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Minimum of five years of experience in the housing sector or real estate.
  • Prior supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the NYC housing market and voucher system; existing relationships with property providers are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for Anthos|Home's mission and the ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to use public transportation or meet travel requirements with reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Competitive starting salary: $80,000-$85,000 (dependent on experience)
