Job Summary
We seek a skilled HVAC Start-up/Service Technician with a strong local presence and a stable work history based in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with large-tonnage applied HVAC systems, including package units, split systems, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems. An EPA Universal Certification and a clean driving record are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform start-up and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring all equipment operates according to specifications and industry standards.
- Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of commercial HVAC systems, including but not limited to package units, split systems, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and prevent future issues.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including start-up reports, maintenance logs, and service reports, using industry-standard software tools.
- Interface with clients to explain work performed, discuss system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
Qualifications
- Must be based in Phoenix, AZ, with a proven track record of stable employment in the HVAC industry.
- Required to handle refrigerants and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to operate company vehicles safely.
- Proficiency in working with various HVAC systems, including package units, split systems, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems.
