Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests, preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and supporting scientific staff in delivering accurate and reliable results. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality data, adherence to safety standards, and smooth daily lab operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare, label, and process biological, chemical, or material samples.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and troubleshooting issues when necessary.
• Record, organize, and analyze data accurately, maintaining detailed logs and documentation.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GLP, ISO, or CLIA as applicable).
• Manage laboratory supplies, inventory, and sample storage.
• Assist senior scientists and researchers with projects, experiments, and technical support.
• Dispose of hazardous waste and materials safely, in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes and workflows.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Previous laboratory experience preferred, though entry-level candidates with relevant coursework may be considered.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with lab safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
• Proficiency in using laboratory software and data entry systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Lab-based role requiring use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May involve exposure to chemicals, biological samples, or hazardous materials.
• Regular standing, pipetting, and manual handling of samples and equipment.
