Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Media Planner/Buyer to join our team. This role is responsible for providing expert media planning and buying support across multiple markets. The ideal candidate is a skilled negotiator, excels at building relationships with media vendors, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
****MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE 3 DAYS A WEEK IN THE KENNESAW, GA AREA***
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic media recommendations using industry research and data.
- Research, plan, and negotiate media opportunities for radio and TV programming, including financial content.
- Plan and execute radio and TV commercial schedules.
- Analyze, compile, and present media plan options to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Manage the implementation, monitoring, and fulfillment of all media orders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date media plan schedules.
- Handle media billing reconciliation and budget tracking.
- Coordinate traffic delivery for all TV commercials and programming.
- Optimize media plans by monitoring performance, costs, and ROI, and making timely adjustments.
- Lead monthly status update meetings.
- Conduct ongoing research and provide insights on opportunities in current and emerging markets.
- Manage relationships with vendor partners through regular calls and meetings.
- Make informed decisions on pre-emptions and makegoods based on performance data.
Qualifications
- Positive and proactive attitude.
- Strong background in traditional broadcast media.
- Proficiency with media tools such as Nielsen, TapScan, Scarborough, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Solid understanding of the current media landscape.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in media planning, buying, or media sales.
- Experience with digital media planning/buying is a plus.
