Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions in a busy medical setting. The ideal candidate must have at least 2–3 years of relevant experience, proficiency with Epic EHR, and hold both a CMA certificate from an accredited medical assistant training program or school and national certification from an accredited certifying body .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support physicians and clinicians in patient care, exams, and procedures
  • Measure and record vital signs, patient histories, and symptoms accurately
  • Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
  • Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and stock supplies
  • Update and manage patient records in the EHR system (Epic preferred)
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, intake, and referrals

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Training: Completion of a medical assistant training program from an accredited school
  • Possession of a CMA certificate from that program

National Certification (Required):

Must hold national certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following accredited certifying bodies :

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) – CMA

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) – CCMA

American Medical Technologists (AMT) – RMA

National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) – NCMA

National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) – NRCMA

CPR Certification:

  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required
  • Experience:

Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or ambulatory care setting

Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) required; Epic preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional demeanor and strong patient service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and adaptable
