Job Description

A globally leading technology company is looking for an NX CAD Modeler – NXOpen Expert to join its cutting-edge Battery Modeling Team. In this role, you’ll create detailed 3D models and assemblies of battery components using Siemens NX, and develop custom NXOpen applications in VB.NET or Python. Key Responsibilities:

- Create high-quality 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings of battery modules, packs, and enclosures using Siemens NX.

- Build parametric assembly models with assembly constraints and develop templates for scalability to new programs.

- Program NXOpen applications to automate processes, optimize functions, and implement specialized design and analysis workflows.

- Conduct tolerance stacking/analysis and utilize it to establish a design distribution.

- Generate scripts for automating designs and design processes.

- Utilize geometry evaluation tools for quality checks and model cleanup.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated battery systems.

- Ensure models conform to design standards, GD&T, and best practices for manufacturability and assembly.

- Maintain model integrity and revision control using PLM systems like Teamcenter.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in 3D modeling with Siemens NX, preferably in consumer electronics or the battery industry.

- Proficiency in parametric design, assembly design, sketching, and synchronous modeling.

- Skilled in NXOpen programming (VB.Net/Python) and NX UI/Dialog creation.

- Expertise in geometry analysis and cleanup.

- Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter).

- Experience in battery pack/module CAD design is a plus.

- Strong grasp of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and design for manufacturing (DFM).

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Capacity to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Understanding of FEA

Type: Contract

Duration: 12 months (with a possibility to extend to 18 months)

Work Location: Cupertino, CA (100% on-site)

Pay range: $28.00 - $ 43.00 (DOE)
